About Sridhar Bearelly

Mr. Sridhar Bearelly is the Managing Director of ZAIS Group International, located in London.  ZAIS Group was founded in July of 1997 in the U.S., and is the largest and most successful global manager of alternative credit products.  At ZAIS Group International, Bearelly’s responsibilities include European asset allocation and advising on global corporate fund strategies.  Mr. Sridhar Bearelly is a member of the ZAIS Group management committee, and is responsible for European investment activities.

Prior to his work with ZAIS Group, Mr. Sridhar Bearelly maintained a celebrated career with Lehman Brothers.  Mr. Bearelly has maintained executive positions at both Lehman Brothers Inc. in New York City and Lehman Brothers International in London.  Sridhar Bearelly spent nearly a decade at Lehman Brothers, where he was Managing Director.  In this position, Mr. Bearelly served as the Global Head of Structured Credit and CDO Syndicate.  He was responsible for underwriting ABS CDOs, CLOs, HY CSOs, IG CSOs, Credit Opportunity Funds, CDO Opportunity Funds, SIVs, SRCs, DPCs, CPPI Funds, and related structured products.

Before acquiring the position of Managing Director at Lehman Brothers International, Sridhar Bearelly spent a year in the Lehman Brothers’ New York City office as Vice President of Lehman Brothers Inc.  In New York, Mr. Bearelly acted as Senior Structurer in the CDO/Structured Credit group.  Sridhar Bearelly managed rating agency negotiation and process, quantitative modeling, transaction documentation, and production of marketing materials, among other responsibilities.  Sridhar Bearelly’s primary focus at Lehman Brothers Inc was on managed CDO structures and proprietary transactions.

1992 graduate of Brandeis University Sridhar Bearelly received his Doctorate of Jurisprudence from Stanford University in 1995.
